Firebelly toads are active pets that live on both land and water, this makes them very interesting to watch. They are social toads and get along well with each other. Firebelly toads have toxins in their skin that will kill other frogs if they are housed together.

Feed the toad gut-loaded insects, including crickets, mealworms and wax worms, guppies and goldfish. Younger frogs daily, feed larger frogs every 2 – 3 days.
Toads do not need a large cage. A 10 gallon tank is fine for one of these toads. The temperature should be kept around 82 F during the day, dropping to around 78 F at night. They come from a humid environment so the substrate should be misted daily to help maintain humidity. They like to live on both land and water.
Large shallow water dish should be provided for them to play in.
Bedding should be cleaned once a month. Waste should be removed weekly. Water dish should be changed daily, and as needed in order to keep clean.

Additional accessibility is available for handicap and for the delivery of large items into and out of our store location.
